Another day, another stinging defeat for the Trump Derangement Syndrome crowd infesting our federal courts.
On April 21, 2026, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, in an opinion authored by Chief Judge William Pryor, vacated the preliminary injunction issued by a Democrat-appointed district judge that had tried to shut down Florida's "Alligator Alcatraz" immigration detention facility in the Everglades.
The lower court had swallowed whole the radical environmentalists' bogus theory that the National Environmental Policy Act somehow blocked Florida from helping President Trump enforce federal immigration law.
The 11th Circuit wasn't having it. The court held the activists failed to identify any "final agency action" or "major federal action" triggering NEPA, because Florida built the facility, on Florida land, with Florida funds, using Florida personnel. Even better, the court ruled the injunction violated the statutory bar on enjoining immigration enforcement under 8 U.S.C. § 1252(f)(1).
This is yet another victory for President Trump, for American sovereignty, and for the rule of law over the obstructionist Democrat judges, politicians, and rent-a-mob protestors whose only goal is sabotaging immigration enforcement and flooding our country with illegal aliens. We'll break down the opinion in detail.
